Pharmaceutical Students' Association of Thailand

Vision

          We are leading organization in developing pharmaceutical students to acquire capability, skill, and knowledge, as well as being the center organization for coordinating between pharmacy students from different institutions to create activities that are beneficial to pharmaceutical students, society, and the nation.

Mission

  1. Supporting the harmony and affinity of pharmaceutical students

  2. Representing the pharmaceutical students for coordinating between the association and other organizations to create the good image for the pharmaceutical students as well as retaining their rights and benefits

  3. Being the organization that encourages and provides opportunities for pharmaceutical students to do various activities for potential developing to be perceptive, creative, and all-rounded.

  4. Aiming to encourage pharmaceutical students aware in responsibility and create a good attitude towards the pharmacy profession

Association’s objectives are as follows

  • To represent the students for holding extra-curricular activities

  • To represent the students for coordinating between the association and other organizations

  • To support the harmony and affinity of the students and the students’ union individually

  • To strengthen governance and self-discipline of the students

  • To promote the activities in academic, profession, and experience for the students

  • To encourage the students to aware in responsibility and role in the society

Organization’s History

          The beginning of the Pharmaceutical Students’ Association of Thailand (PSAT) came from the assembly of pharmaceutical students of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences to do activities related to profession.  

     

          In B.E. 2518, there was the assembly of the pharmaceutical students from 3 university including Chulalongkorn University, Chiang Mai University, and Mahidol University.  

 

          Then in B.E. 2529, there was the milestone of the assembly of pharmaceutical students to call for the profession of Medical Certificate and do Corporate Social Responsibility together with the total of 6 universities including Chulalongkorn University, Chiang Mai University, Mahidol University, Prince of Songkla University, Khon Kaen University, and Silpakorn University.

     

          Afterwards, the association was expanded due to the increasing number of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Thailand with the certification from the Pharmacy Councill of Thailand until there were 12 universities. So, the association was named as ‘Pharmaceutical Students Union of Thailand,’ and be promoted to ‘Pharmaceutical Students Association of Thailand (PSAT)’. The pharmaceutical student representatives from the universities joined as the association’s executive committee, and there were all other pharmaceutical students from the Thai universities joined as the members of the association. Currently, the PSAT have 20 members of the university as following.
